The World's First Waterwheel Powered Debris Collector
The "trash mill" uses centuries old technology to remove trash and debris from rivers as it is carried downstream. An undershot waterwheel, driven by the solar panels, wind generator and river current, powers a conveyor that lifts trash into a dumpster. The dumpster is located on a separate barge that is taken to shore for disposal of the trash. Electricity from solar and wind are used to power a pump to turn the waterwheel when the river's current is low. Benefits of a Trash Mill:
